Whether it is a consumer product such as an electric car or industrial use such as grid storage, lithium-ion batteries are a universal and increasingly necessary part of our everyday lives. Unfortunately, if you've ever owned a smartphone, you're familiar with the way that lithium-ion batteries degrade over time. At GBS we specialize in taking large used battery packs, deconstructing them into their individual cells, and then putting those cells through rigorous testing to determine if they are suitable for reuse. In doing this, we are able to extend the usable lives of lithium-ion batteries and their hardware, maximizing the value that can be derived from those batteries and helping our company further its sustainability goals.

The Global Battery Solution team of managing partners is fortunate to have members with a variety of technological backgrounds that grant us unique access to proprietary technology such as Qi wireless charging, which we hope to use to expand our line of products and services related to the use of solar energy and battery technology.

Battery Control and Monitoring Hardware
On top of recovering and reusing hardware from used batteries, GBS is currently developing unique hardware that will allow users to monitor the health and performance of their GBS battery systems remotely through both a mobile app and a web interface. The ultimate goal of this project is to create a robust and intuitive experience that allows customers to predict and respond to changes in the system, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing the efficiency and longevity of their hardware.
